Temptation is the first evil that one should eradicate from one’s
self. The best way to do this is through fasting. Fasting

has a spiritual as well as a social meaning. It is

through fasting that the soul of man is liberated

from the shackles of his wishes and desires,

and takes the lofty step towards God.

Fasting shuts the doors upon temptations.

Fasting leads man to become God-fearing.

For this reason, every adult must practice it

when deemed necessary. Besides, it is also to

be considered from the social dimension.

Through fasting, a person is able to have a bet-
ter understanding of the gifts received from God

and thus be able to open himself to others, in greater

compassion and offer charity towards those who are less fortunate

and marginalized.

பாலாவின் வார்த்றதகள்

தீய கவர்ச்சி நம்மிடம் இருந்து நாம் விலக்க கவண்டிய மிக அவசியம். அதற்கா

ஒரு சிறந்த வழி உண்ணாவிரதம். அதற்கு இறறயருள், சமுதாயம் ஆகிய இரணடும்

உயர்ந்த கமன்றமயா படிகறள

எடுத்துறவக்கிறது. உண்ணாவிரதம் கவர்ச்சியின்

கதவுகறள யூடுகிறது. ம ிதற உண்றமச்

சறமயப்பற்றுறடயவ ாக மாற்றுகிறது.

இக்காரணத்திற்காககவ முதிர்வயதுறடய

ஒவ்வவாருவரும் இதற நீடித்த பயிற்ச்சியாக
வகாள்ள கவண்டும். கமலும் இது சமுதாயம்

சார்ந்ததாகவும் கருதப்படுகிறது. கடவுள் நமக்கு

அளித்துள்ள உயர்ந்த உன் தமா பரிசுகறள நாம்

நன்றாக புரிந்துவகாள்ள உண்ணாவிரதம் உதவுகிறது.

இதன் விறளவாக நாம் மற்றவர்களிடம் வவளிப்பறடயாக இருக்கும்

திறறமயுறடயவர்களாகிகறாம். வாழ்க்றகயில் குறறந்த

நல்வாய்ப்புறடயவர்களுக்கு பரிவுடனும் .இரக்க உணர்ச்சியுடனும் உதவ

முற்படுகவாம்.
